The British Honorary Consulate is keen to promote and facilitate trade links between the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of Bhutan.

    Given its geographical position, Bhutan has potential as a trade gateway to South Asia with its massive population base. It has a Free Trade Agreement with the Republic of India. It is an active member of the South Asia Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
